It's PaRtY time!

Yesterday was a very special day for Joshua....a day he's been anticipating since he was nominated for Make-A-Wish! It was his wish celebration party & it couldn't have been any better.  That morning I was awoken - much earlier than usual - to Joshua reminding me that it was his special party day.  He asked me  probably 100 times yesterday afternoon, "Is it time for my party yet?"...he could hardly stand the wait!

When we arrived that evening I could feel the tears begin to well in my eyes & I did my best to fight the urge to break down crying. Words can't describe the overwhelming gratitude we have felt during this whole process. Walking through the doors & being greeted by such friendly faces, I knew my composure would be out the window any second. It blows my mind that these people have gone to such great lengths to make Joshua, and our whole family, feel so loved and incredibly special!

Joshua invited the whole family (which is quite large) & was thrilled to enjoy the evening surrounded by people who love and adore him.  His cardiologist came too, which was perfect, because in our eyes, he's part of the family.

Josh loved every second of his special night.  At the party we received all of his wish trip details. I didn't think it was possible, but now he's even MORE excited for our trip to Disney World for the Star Wars Experience!! Just between you & me, I think if his whole wish consisted of just the party last night, that would have been enough....but no, we get to go to Disney World on top of it all! So amazing!

As I mentioned before, I knew at some point I was going to lose it & break down crying.  When I was introduced to Bill, Joshua's wish donor, I just lost it.  We were so lucky to meet the man behind this wonderful experience.  I cried as I hugged him & I'm not even sure what I said to him, but I hope he realized that his generosity has (& will) bring our family so much joy. Being a part of this experience has been so incredibly humbling & I have shed so many tears during the M-A-W process - so grateful to everyone who has had a part in making this such a joyful experience. I don't have the words. Not even sure there are adequate words.

Above, Josh and Bill....Below the family, with Bill.
Finally, a picture of Joshua & most of his cousins. I think there are 5 missing, but a pretty good turn out! :)
So the count down to Orlando continues...it won't be long until the limo (yes - LIMO) pulls up to take us on the trip of a life time!
Thank you so much Make-A-Wish & thank you Bill!! :)
